Press Release

Has there ever been a better time for an uplifting banging EP celebrating life, love and our planet?

Independent British artist-writer-producer James Gittins is set to release his 'Festival of Life' EP featuring seven versions of the track including remixes by renowned Miami producer Austin Leeds.

Leeds has worked with Van Dyk, Sasha, Digweed and many more huge names over the years and has delivered again with his explosive fun and funky remix.

‘Festival of Life’ has already gained support from the funk and underground music scene following the single release in November 2023 and builds on the success of Gittins previous 2023 releases, ‘That Funky’, ‘What You Want’ and ‘Dutiful’.

An uplifting track driving a message of celebration and togetherness, ‘Festival of Life’ features the incredible work of internationally renowned vocalist Cat McTigue, who also featured on Gittins’ single ‘That Funky’.

McTigue’s unique expansive vocals deliver a lush velvet tone to the disco inspired track, blending beautifully with the huge brass hook provided by acclaimed trombonist Chris Valentine.

With industry credentials rising, Worcestershire-based artist James Gittins is building a reputation across multi genres for his vibrant beats, elegant composition and life-affirming lyrics with an impressive back catalogue of powerful, critically-acclaimed tracks spanning disco, funk, house and EDM.

“I created ‘Festival of Life’ to deliver an inspiring and upbeat message celebrating life on our planet” says Gittins.

“I wanted Cat’s powerful and unique vocals to feature as the perfect match for the track and an authentic killer trombone to lead the massive brass section, so I was stoked when Cat and Chris agreed to feature”

Gittins’ recent releases have gained attention and support from channels, DJs and tastemakers globally, with 10 of his tracks featuring on BBC Introducing to date.
