Artist-writer-producer James Gittins calls out to the universe on worldwide dance floors this summer!
Press Release
Independent British artist-writer-producer James Gittins is releasing his new feature dance track Pia and remixes in July across all streaming platforms worldwide. Featuring the stellar vocals of versatile recording artist Cherryjade, ‘Pia’ offers a celestial journey across the galaxy through uplifting lyrics and an other-worldly vibe.
‘Pia’ is another original track to add to James’ extensive back catalogue and looks likely to follow the success and acclaim of his previous works, including his most recent release ‘The Sun’, which peaked at number 11 in the Music Week charts.
The cosmic energy offered by the compelling melody provides a perfect match for Cherryjade’s catchy vocals and ad libs, reminiscent of the 90’s classic ‘It’s a Fine Day’, by Opus III. As always with the Gittins’ brand, there’s a positive message woven throughout the track, so while Pia serves an insistently summery sound, it also asks us to consider our connection to the universe and with each other.
James says: “I wrote ‘Pia’ to carry an infectious piano hook and deliver a message of love, togetherness and strength in unity. I created the stripped-back remix with Cherryjade’s hooky ad libs as the focus and paired these with ethereal synths, grounded with a deep funky bass and groove.”
With production duo Neons providing two additional heavy hitting dance remixes, this six track EP delivers Pia to suit every taste.
Vocalist Cherryjade was inspired by the positive messaging: “I was super-excited to work with James on ‘Pia’,” she says. “It’s a joy to be part of such an uplifting project and I love the message of connection delivered with fun, feel-good production.”
Bringing a much-needed touch of infinite, universal harmony to global dance floors, ‘Pia’ will unite pleasure-seekers in their love of great music.
Producer-songwriter James Gittins’ recent releases have enjoyed much support from channels, DJs and tastemakers all over the world, with 10 track plays to date on BBC Introducing.
